Walk for Warmth

For most of us, home is a place of warmth and comfort during the cold winter months. However, for many St. Clair County seniors, individuals and families, winter means struggling every day in a house where candles, kerosene space heaters, blankets, and layer upon layer of clothing are the only protection from the bitter cold. This is often due to interrupted or shut off utilities as a result of overdue or unpaid utility bills resulting from an unforeseen financial crisis. Imagine being able to provide a night, a week, or a month of warmth for anyone living in St. Clair County in an unheated house. Together, we can help families, senior citizens, and others in our community who are literally “left out in the cold” due to heat-related emergencies. Together, we can “move our feet to give others heat”.
